Wow!  What a product.  Before using intercept^CS I was always victim to a two week cycle of having to use creams/solutions that never attacked the virus before a cold sores were full blown.  Just a few applications, once the tingling began, and sure enough the cold sore never reared its ugly head.  I would highly recommend this product to anyone that suffers from the embarrassments of fever blisters or cold sores.

I am very prone to cold sores and when I use this product in the very beginning (being the itching tingling sensation stage) then I DO NOT get the cold sore at all. If I am not able to get to the area in the early stage , I still use the intercept^CS as it helps to keep the blister very small and not nearly last as long. Thanks so much. It's a great product.....

I can remember the exact moment when I caught my first cold sore. For over 20 years now, I have had severe pain and the horrible outbreaks that last, on average, for 3 weeks. I've been getting cold sores for as long as I can remember (at least 25 years) and I can always tell when one is about to develop. I get a tingling on my lip and within 24 hours an ugly, puss-filled growth appears. This stage lasts about 2 or 3 days and then I have to endure another week or more as the cold sore scabs over and then gradually heals. On average, I have been getting one cold sore every 4 -6 months for the last 25 years and they last about 2 weeks.

In the past I've used ointments and pills that have been prescribed by my doctor or dentist to relieve the discomfort of the cold sore but nothing has been able to prevent the outbreak...until now.

About a month ago I felt the unmistakable tingling in my lip and I gave the intercept^CS device a try. I applied the device directly onto my lip for 30 seconds each time with a break of 1 minute between  applications. One morning, approximately six years ago, I awoke to a swelling on my upper lip.  For 2 weeks, I suffered through the stages of the "lip incident", to have it go away FINALLY.  With it finally healed, I continued onward with my daily activities.  Not 2 weeks later, I began to detect the same burning, tingling, swelling sensation, and endured yet another 10-14 days of relentless humiliation, and pain.  A pain that could only be described as having a golf ball trying to burst its way through the top lip, for the whole world to see.  Again, to smile, to eat, to wash, part of daily living, becomes a constant struggle.  A visit to my physician, after one look would determine that I had a cold sore!!  A WHAT???

To my horror, I was informed that I would have recurring "lip incidents".  Was I going to deal with this on a monthly basis?  …Almost!  I was prescribed an Rx topical ointment.

At an expense of approximately $19.99 for 5 grams to be applied liberally to the affected area 4-6 times daily even if you are at work, play, or sleeping could be described as inconvenient.  Yes, but also needs a few minutes to absorb, otherwise one finds themselves walking around with a BIG WHITE BLOB which from a distance, looks like a tooth sticking out.  Embarrassing?    You Bet!.  Depending on how chronic the condition, the topical needs  to be replaced about every 6-8 weeks.  

 I encountered the intercept^CS about 10 months ago.  It was recommended by a friend to try.  Being that the cream was working, I was nervous to try something else.  It did not take long for the first flare up.  This would be the first time I would try something new.  I applied the intercept^CS just to the surface of the skin, (barely touching) and administered the heat.  This was my first experience with intercept^CS, and I had made up my mind that if I did not see a response within 15 minutes, I was going to treat with ointment.  Three hours later, I realized that WITHOUT the ointment, HSV had completely retreated.

Needless to say, messy, expensive ointments are in the past.  I do not leave my house without my intercept^CS, and even when I do not know where my car keys are, I in fact have constant knowledge of my little device.  Not only have I found my weapon against the constant battle with HSV1, I notice for the first time in 6 years that not only do I win battle, I am hardly fighting it anymore!

Just writing to let you know how this amazing product "The Intercept" is working for me. I've used it twice on the areas that I felt symptoms arising due to an onset of cold sores, and I have to say I haven't had any come out in those areas. I've been getting them all my life and I always seem to have them flair up when I'm in Florida for the March Break.
This March break was no different in that I felt that dreaded tingling feeling in my lip and immediately zapped it with the Intercept device. I’ve been a victim of cold sores as long as I can remember.  Usually when exposed to a lot of sun, cold or stress.  I was always frustrated when reading the labels on the creams: “for temporary relief of the itching and pain associated with cold sores”… who cares about the pain – get rid of the sore!!)

I formerly used prescription stuff like Zovirax, Abreva and others like it, as a last stitch effort to shorten the length of the sore.  Regardless, it was always a two week outbreak from the initial tingling to the ugly puss stage… to the scabbing , to the pealing… and finally the scab would mark its former presence with a scar.  I was sick of every person I talked with staring at my mouth as I spoke with them.  I was sick of applying (and forgetting to apply) cream every 2 hours only for the sore to come and stay anyways.  So I was excited another option was coming available.
